Umm not really that big a deal if you play smart with your planes all of us that have it had to play allot of games in CV to get it so I have played against many 15 point commanders when I have a 10 point not that big a deal just think outside of box you cant beat a stronger opponent face to face lure and strafe works great I never play Saipan AS its pointless. Frankly, if people like Aether want AS carriers to help protect them than AS carrier gameplay needs to be rewarding and engaging or people just aren't going to do it. Also includes a good idea for rewarding AS gameplay. My thread has a bunch of air-to-air fixes and ideas in it including things like 'fighters hide in clouds to ambush enemy squadrons' and ways to improve the air-to-air dynamic. Or allowing fighters to break off of an engagement with other fighters without being pinned in place (I WANT THIS BACK)įrankly air combat needs a rework in general. Or reducing the drop increase when fighters attack the bomber group. Or reducing launch time of squadrons by a percentage- again USN benefits more since their larger squadrons have a longer launch time (thus a larger reduction via percentage) (Like, +5 to each for IJN, +7 to each for USN) Things like adding more aircraft to the pools of each plane type - and if I did it, I would give USN more planes from the skill than IJN since IJN already has higher plane stowage in each tier.
Having it add planes to airborne squadrons (ANY squadron types) is not good for anyone, including surface ships. My suggestions have been all focused around altering AS.
